Empowering youth to be the best they can be
Our vision is to empower youth to live a life of purpose.
There are 33,000 young people in North Queensland; many facing incredible challenges. National statistics show that 10 young Aussies commit suicide every week, 1 in 4 suffer from depression and 48% of girls try extreme weight loss methods.
We engage youth through camps, high school seminars, and local and overseas service projects to provide a positive, safe environment where they feel valued, motivated, and empowered to be the best they can be while serving the needs of others.
YWAM Townsville works in partnership with schools, social clubs, youth organisations, and governing bodies.
Dynamic missions trips designed for youth and young adults
YWAM Youth Adventures offers short-term opportunities for teams and individuals to come together to be challenged, connect with their world, grow in cross-cultural understanding, and serve courageously. An initial hands-on training phase preps teams to be immersed in diverse communities throughout North Queensland and Papua New Guinea.
You won’t go unprepared. Our trained youth workers will teach and equip you to express yourselves across cultures in a fun, hands-on training experience.
Our staff take care of all the details: food, housing, transportation, schedule, translation, and supplies so you can focus on experiencing the culture you’re immersed in. Check out our dates and outreach locations below.
